My life has been pretty crazy lately and I have been unable to post and studying is a problem I have. I’m probably the worst at it and have no time to do it which makes it suck. Here are just a few tips that help me out when I have no time to study:
BORED? STUDY.
This first tip is pretty vague so let me explain. If you’re in class or at home or at rehearsal like me and you have 5 minutes or 10 minutes or 2 minutes where you aren’t doing anything at all, study. Take out your laptop or phone or study guide or wherever your study material is and just go over a few things. When I’m at rehearsal and I am not needed for something and don’t have to be paying attention (this sounds awful haha) I take out my study guide and just start going over it.
ORGANIZATION
For a faster studying process make sure all your study material is organized like… Key words highlighted, name of sections underlined, bulleted lists.
STUDY OVER A PERIOD OF TIME
OKKKKKKKKK… This one is difficult for any high schooler, but pulling all nighters or cramming the night before the test DOES NOT work. Ever. Take at least 20 minutes 3 days before and review your study material each night up until the test. Studying the night before causes you to not sleep, stress, and forget pretty much everything for the test.
ASK QUESTIONS
Teachers usually have a review day before the test, and if they don’t thats okay this still applies to you. Ask your teacher as many questions as you can before the test. Sometimes this tip helps so much you end up not having to study. Ask all the questions or just ask about the hard ones or whatever you need to do. You do you.
QUIZLET
I probably use this study tip more than any other… Quizlets might seem stupid, but its the easiest way to study when you have no time. All you have to do is put in your questions and answers or terms and definition and play the games they have. I usually start off with their option called “Learn” which offers you the term and you type the definition or the other way around and then I play the games and take the tests. Not going to lie quizlet is pretty fun and super easy to use when you have no time to study.
