Thank you for those who voted on my Twitter on what blog post I should do next, so here it is! This is probably a really good choice since I’m just starting my blog. So without further adieu here is, 1o Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Me:
#1: I figure skated for 11 years!
-I started figure skating when I was 3. When I was 8 I competed at the national level with my synchronized skating team in Colorado. I continued skating when I moved to Georgia, and would wake up at 4am to go to practice before school. It became too much to handle soccer, skating, sleeping and theatre, so I had to give up one and it wasn’t sleep.
#2: I was the leading scorer for my division in soccer for 4 years straight
-I began soccer when I was 4 and played until I was 15. From age 11 to 15 I became the leading scorer for my division.
#3: My first movie ever in theaters was Star Wars: The Phantom Menace
-I was 2 months old when my parents took me to see my first movie in theaters which was Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. I also saw Tarzan for the first time that day and slept through both!
#4: I was in two Disney Channel commercials when I was 3
-When I was 3, I was at Disney World in Orlando at Hollywood Studios when Playhouse Disney was filming a commercial. The director came up to my family and I as we were walking by and asked if I could say a few words for two commercials they were filming and my parents said YES!
#5: Until I was 5 the ONLY costumed character I was NOT afraid of at Disney was Beast
-I went to Disney A LOT as a kid and when I did my family and I would meet characters. Every time we would meet a princess, or Mickey Mouse, or any character really I would scream and cry and just pout. Well one day my mom wanted to meet Beast so we stood in line and when we were about to take a picture I finally smiled. Beast was the only character I met until I was 5 that I didn’t scream and cry and pout at.
#6: I owned a Chinchilla
-When I was 13 I decided I really wanted a Chinchilla so I convinced my parents to let me pay for the Chinchilla itself and they would pay for the supplies. After 5 months of saving I finally got to buy Milo! (p.s. I also made an Instagram account for him when I was 13!)
#7: I was born in a hospital in Michigan two months apart from one of my best friends that I met here in Georgia
-So I was born in Michigan in a town an hour south of the Canadian border with less than 1,000 population. The hospital I was born in was an hour from where I lived and with a population of less than 4,000 people. I moved to Georgia when I was 8. In a 6th grade Literature class I became friends with a kid (you know who you are) who happen to be born in the same hospital 2 months before me.
#8: I had a fan account for One Direction with my best friend for 2-3 years
-In 7th grade I met one of my best friends in chorus. We clicked instantly and as soon as we became friends we discovered we both LOVED One Direction. So we decided to make a fan account… We had 4,500-something followers and were known as carrotsfornandos… It was honestly so much fun and I miss it.
#9: I lived at Disney World for 3 weeks
-When I was 4 years old I moved from Michigan to Florida before ending up in Texas. My dad was looking for a marketing job at the time at a lot of places including Disney, while my mom and I went to the parks every day! We lived at Old Key West Resort in Disney for almost a month!
#10: I went to Machu Picchu my freshman year of high school
-During my freshman year of high school one of the Spanish teachers was hosting a school trip to Peru. I signed up and spent my spring break in Lima, Saqsaywaman (which is LITERALLY pronounced “sexy woman”), and Machu Picchu and lots of other places around Peru! I did service work, went to museums, and got to play soccer with a bunch of kids (I lost by the way…). It was such an incredible experience and I would definitely go back!
